The list of anime characters who are 5’2″ (~157/158 cm) tall includes characters like Killua Zoldyck, Mami Nanami, Tohru Honda, Haruhi Suzumiya, and many more.
While it’s true that the majority of them are girls, there are also some popular anime boys included! The top 2 entries are actually boys, which is pretty surprising!

Here are the 10 best anime characters who are 5’2 tall!
10. Fumikage Tokoyami (My Hero Academia)
Fumikage Tokoyami is a bird-headed human who is a student in Class 1-A at U.A. High School. He trais to become a Pro Hero.
Despite his fondness of darkness and other related concepts, his goal is noble: he aims to protect humanity.
While he might not seem powerful at first sight, his power is on par with students like Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki, and Shoto Todoroki, making him one of the strongest members of Class 1-A!
Fun fact: He is born on October 30.
9. Orihime Inoue (Bleach)
Orihime gets a lot of hate because people deem her “useless. She is often compared to Sakura from Naruto. Sure, she can’t really fight, she panics, and doesn’t even try to conquer the world, but does she really needs to have some “noble” goals to be considered worthy? And yes, I know that she can be a naive airhead, but still.
She would rather bring solace than havoc, her personality is suited for healing, not fighting. Her desires include romance, good food, having a roof over her head, and just normal, human things that everyone wants to have. Her concerns include insecurities like jealousy, and inadequacy—again, normal stuff that make her relatable if anything.
8. Tsumugi Kotobuki (K-ON!)
A high-schooler and a keyboardist in a music band, Mugi has it all: she is kawaii, sweet, and wealthy.
Despite not needing to work, she decides to work part-time at a fast-food restaurant.
She greatly appreciates little things and moments because she doesn’t have that many chances to experience ordinary things because of her high status.

7. Mami Nanami (Rent-a-Girlfriend)
Mami Nanami is one of the most despised & worst characters (change my mind)! However, she is still popular on MAL (more than 8k fans) and since I created this list according to MAL popularity rankings, it leaves me to wonder if it’s because of her beauty. I wish I could be like Tohru and find something good about her. But I am not.
Mami would kick a guy to the curb and then try to break him up with a new girl just out of spite. Like she got “interested” in him again just because he got a new girlfriend and that made him appealing once more.
She is also exceptionally fake, having a friendly and compassionate facade while being cruel, manipulative, and having little to no empathy in reality.
Mami is the definition of “a rotten banana with a glittery cover”. Sorry, not sorry, she is among the worst anime characters who stand at 5’2″ tall.

6. Tohru Honda (Fruits Basket)
I have already mentioned Tohru once in the list of the top 10 underrated waifus.
Tohru is the heroine of the shoujo series called Fruits Basket. She is the type of person who sees the good in people even if others consider them completely vile. And because she treats LITERALLY everyone with kindness, respect, and understanding, she can reach even the “lost causes”.
She has all qualities a good waifu should have: kindness, loyalty, and beauty. On top of that, she is forgiving, thoughtful, caring, and selfless. What more can one ask for?
5. Kosaki Onodera (Nisekoi)
Kosaki is a thoughtful, innocent, and kind girl who is incredibly easygoing and popular at school.
She starts as a timid and shy high schooler who blossoms into a more assertive and mature woman as the series progress. This development is often praised by the Nisekoi fans.
She is a caring waifu who would always put your needs first.
4. Haruhi Suzumiya (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya)
Haruhi Suzumiya is a quirky North High student and leader of the SOS Brigade, an unofficial school club that is filled with abnormal people. She created this club to keep herself entertained.
As she said: “I’m not interested in ordinary people. But, if any of you are aliens, time-travelers, or espers, please come see me”.
Her desire to live an extraordinary life leads to a strong desire for exploration of anything that’s paranormal. Ironically, despite the fact that her club is filled with abnormal humans, she fails to realize it!
3. Kurumi Tokisaki (Date a Live)
The most popular and nuanced Date A Live character, Kurumi might come across as a sadistic and psychopathic individual.
Sure, she is a powerful Spirit, but she once used to be a human. Unfortunately, after she got fooled by the first Spirit who turned her into one as well, she has hurt TOO many people. In fact, she killed so many humans that she is rightfully emotionally disassociated.
Despite treating humans around quite horribly, she has a noble goal in mind: to go back to the past and kill the first Spirit to prevent all the horrible events that come after.
2. Shigeo Kageyama (Mob Psycho 100)
Mob is one of the most compassionate & kind-hearted anime characters you can come across. He is extremely forgiving, to the point he doesn’t hold any grudges even toward people who bullied him for months!
Mob has social anxiety, which is kinda understandable since he is socially awkward and can’t really read the atmosphere. This, unfortunately, results in having an (almost) friendless life.
While he physically lacks stamina, agility, and strength, he is unarguably the most powerful esper in the series!
1. Killua Zoldyck (Hunter x Hunter)
Many of my regular readers know that I love Killua to bits. Hunter x Hunter is my no.1 anime, and I recommend you to watch it if you haven’t yet. It’s an anime similar to the likes of Naruto, Bleach, Fairy Tail, or even BNHA.
Killua has more than 80 000 fans on MaL, making him the 8th most popular character in the whole database! He is currently more popular than Naruto Uzumaki, Edward Elric, and Gintoki Sakata. And breathing on the neck of Light Yagami and Rintarou Okabe!
So what makes Killua so special and why is he so popular?
First of all, he is a child assassin. And when you think that Killua is around 11/12 years at the beginning of HxH and can still outclass the majority of hunter applicants even without using nen (aura), it makes you think “wow, he is so cool” instantly. This is due to him mastering many assassin techniques at a very young age, essentially becoming “a human weapon.”
His own family, which is filled with some of the greatest assassins to walk on Earth, stated that he is the most talented assassin in the entire history of Zoldycks. And THAT speaks volumes about how incredibly skilled and powerful Killua truly is.
Secondly, his character traits and personality development. Killua is tremendously powerful but still insecure and flawed, which makes him human and adds realism to his character. He is also one of the most analytical and intelligent characters in HxH, even though he is so young. And we all know that everyone loves super-intelligent characters.
I won’t spoil anything about the character development, but let’s say that he will finally discover a purpose.
