15 Best Isekai Harem Anime With an OP MC

Isekai harem anime with an OP MC has been growing in popularity in past years. Generally, the isekai genre has been enjoying peak popularity for some years now. Each year, we get tons of new isekai anime to choose from. Usually, the story starts with the main character dying and then reincarnating in a fantasy world or he simply gets transported to a fantasy world out of nowhere. There, the MC usually either becomes OP or is OP from the start.

Harem is another popular genre even among non-isekai anime shows. It comes as no surprise that mangakas often combine isekai, harem, and the MC being OP since it seems to work every single time and anime fans seek these types of shows.

The above-mentioned trope is so overused that you know what you are getting yourself into—isekai harem shows with an overpowered protagonist are easy to understand and have more often than not a straightforward & predictable plot. These stories are usually relaxing and lighthearted with some stress-free action where the MC showcases his OP powers and conquers all assailants with no problem.

If you find yourself lost in the never-endless list of isekai harem, here are the 15 best isekai harem anime with an OP MC!

Note: Before you mention it in the comments, I haven’t included SAO and Overlord because they are not really harem.

15. The Greatest Demon Lord Is Reborn as a Typical Nobody

  • Japanese title: Shijou Saikyou no Daimaou, Murabito A ni Tensei suru
  • Studio: Silver Link, Blade
  • Stream on: N/A

The Greatest Demon Lord Is Reborn as a Typical Nobody will premiere in April 2022 but we already know that this show is a perfect fit for this list.

The protagonist is the most powerful being of all time, the Demon Lord Varvatos. He decides to reincarnate with average magical strength because he is bored with life. While the reincarnation as a commoner was successful, he is bound to learn that the quality of demons has dropped so drastically that even when he holds back, he is still too overpowered!

Obviously, ‘the typical nobody’ is a typical OP handsome protagonist. And he gets all the beauties too.

14. The Fruit of Evolution

  • Japanese title: Shinka no Mi: Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei
  • Studio: feel., Hotline, Children’s Playground Entertainment
  • Stream on: Crunchyroll

One day, a whole school full of students gets transported to a mysterious fantasy world with an RPG system.

One of them is Seiichi Hiragi, a high schooler bullied to hell and back for being fat and ugly. While everyone else was transported in groups, he was the only one secluded which caused him to end up in a different location. When he accidentally eats “the Fruit of Evolution,” his life as a successful champion begins!

The show is a good choice for anyone who seeks an anime in the style of Arifutera. The MC becomes OP after eating the fruit of evolution, and his gorilla waifu transforms into a real beautiful woman. And as you know, when you become OP, it’s necessary to kick start a harem too. And obviously, the gorilla waifu doesn’t really mind.

13. The Strongest Sage With The Weakest Crest

  • Japanese title: Shikkakumon no Saikyou Kenja
  • Studio: J.C.Staff
  • Stream on: Crunchyroll

So we have another cool protagonist who is insanely OP from the start and others challenge him only to be ridiculed by his overwhelming powers.

In this anime, the world’s strongest sage will stop at nothing to get stronger—not even reincarnation!

And as he gets reincarnated in the future era, everyone is still pathetic when compared to him. Funnily enough, everyone looks down on him in the beginning because of his weak crest, but he is still the most OP one thanks to his knowledge, experience, and skill. This is highlighted many times when he pwns anyone who dares to challenge or attack him. Also, we can’t forget that he gets cute female sidekicks and makes them powerful in a really short time.

12. Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar

  • Japanese title: Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari
  • Studio: AIC Spirits, BeSTACK
  • Stream on: Amazon

One of the oldest isekai shows is Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar. Many people don’t even know that this series exists and it’s a shame because it’s a good one.

The story starts with the MC who is transported to another world but instead of having some noble goal, he just wants to come back home. Unfortunately, he becomes a servant of a rich princess and has to attend the mecha school. On top of that, almost every female he meets tries to seduce him.

His physical abilities are extraordinarily OP despite not being enhanced in any way except for training and a special diet.

11. The 8th son? Are you kidding me?

  • Japanese title: Hachi-nan tte, Sore wa Nai deshou!
  • Studio: SynergySP, Shin-Ei Animation
  • Stream on: Crunchyroll

The 8th Son decided to integrate the popular isekai tropes as soon as possible. Within the first three episodes, he has surpassed his magical teacher, became famous, and gained not only a mansion but also a fortune.

The show centers around a young salaryman who wakes up in a magical fantasy world as Wendelin von Benno Baumeister, the eighth son of the noble Baumeister family.

Since he is unlikely to inherit anything from his father, he strives to change his financial and social status for the better. After discovering that he has a high affinity for magic, his goal might be within his reach!

The MC is the most extreme case of having a harem—he has ~20 wives, mistresses, and fiancées!

10. Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy-

  • Japanese title: Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu
  • Studio: C2C
  • Stream on: Crunchyroll

Imagine an anime that takes the best elements from Konosuba, Overlord, Slime, The Shield Hero, and Re:Zero. Try to combine them together and here you go, you have Tsukimichi!

The story starts with a young boy being forcefully transported to another world. But instead of becoming a hero from the start, the crappy goddess strips him of the role of a hero and drops him at the edge of her world!

The MC is trying to build ‘a monster town’ where all kinds of beings can live a happy life because he can’t speak to humans, which was done intentionally by the evil goddess. Instead, he understands and speaks all ‘monster languages.’ He is OP although it doesn’t seem like that at the start of the story. His magic Energy is close to a god.

9. How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom

  • Japanese title: Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki
  • Studio: J.C.Staff
  • Stream on: Amazon

Realist Hero is a relatively new anime introduced in 2021.

The premise certainly sounds familiar. A young man is transported to a fantasy world and is tasked with helping the kingdom with his knowledge/power. All beautiful young ladies fawn over him, ranging from demi-human lolis through knights to princesses.

But wait. There is more to this show!

The hero doesn’t get any insanely OP magical powers or boosted stats but instead, he aids the flagging economy of this land by implementing REFORMS. And as you can tell, the charm of this MC stems from his intellect.

8. The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat

  • Japanese title: Sekai Saikou no Ansatsusha, Isekai Kizoku ni Tensei suru
  • Studio: Silver Link, Studio Palette
  • Stream on: Crunchyroll

The World’s Finest Assassin is a well-crafted isekai that embraces the popular isekai tropes while keeping it fresh and engaging.

In this series, an old man who is known as the world’s greatest assassin dies and is reincarnated in a world of swords and magic where his skill set is needed to prevent the destruction of the world.

While the plot makes you think that it’s just “another isekai”, the thing that makes it special is that there are valid reasons why he is so OP. He was already among the elite assassins in our world and also he died in his 50s, so he had a lot of combat experience and general knowledge. Since he retained all of that, him becoming OP in the fantasy world makes perfect sense. The show also deserves praise for not making him a usual perv but a mature, calm, and polite young man.

7. Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody

  • Japanese title: Desu Māchi Kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyōsōkyoku
  • Studio: Silver Link, Connect
  • Stream on: Amazon

Ichirou Suzuki is a programmer nearing his thirties who one day wakes up trapped in a fantasy world. He quickly realizes that this world is a combination of the MMORPG games he was debugging previously in real life. Except for the change of his name, which becomes Satou, he is also having an appearance of his younger, 15-year-old self.

Without having time to think of what happened, Satou gets attacked by an army of lizardmen, forcing him to instinctively use his ability. To his surprise, he wipes them completely and his level is boosted to 310, maximizing his stats. Now, with no way to return to reality and overpowered stats, Satou embarks on a journey to explore this new magical world.

The series has almost no tension in it because the main character is so OP that he can deal with almost any problem or threat immediately. This is because he is Level 310 in a world where being level 30 is considered powerful. And so, all enemies are basically a joke.

It’s a lighthearted and laid-back anime with a protagonist who travels and explores the lands of an unknown world with his party, which consists of young girls.

6. In Another World With My Smartphone

  • Japanese title: Isekai wa Sumātofon to Tomo ni
  • Studio: Production Reed
  • Stream on: Amazon

In this series, a 15-year-old student is accidentally killed by a God and reincarnated in a fantasy world with his smartphone.

The MC being OP is an understatement. God compensates him by giving him boosted powers, which results in the capability of using all 7 types of elemental magic, Divine powers, and having boosted basic stats like strength, memory, and agility. This means that he can destroy all threats with ease. He is currently a lower-rank god.

If you are a lover of isekai harem anime shows with an OP MC, this one should not slip under your radar. The protagonist gets to have 9 wives!

5. Arifureta

  • Japanese title: Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou
  • Studio: Asread, White Fox
  • Stream on: Amazon

Everyone loves to see an underdog rising to the top. We loved it in Naruto, BNHA, Shield Hero, and many other anime shows.

There is some magic in the story where the protagonist starts as the weakest and becomes the most OP character in the process. That’s what happens in Arifureta, although it’s a bit rushed. The MC becomes OP after eating monster meat and evolves not only physically, but also personality-wise. It also helps that he is fueled by hatred towards his classmates who betrayed him for being the weakest in the group, which has a long-lasting impact on his personality.

While the animation and story might be underwhelming for some, the series makes up for it with its fanservice and the MC’s cool transformation from a wimp to a badass.

4. The Misfit of The Demon King Academy

  • Japanese title: Maō Gakuin no Futekigōsha
  • Studio: Silver Link
  • Stream on: Crunchyroll

Directed by Shin Oonuma (Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry, Kokoro Connect, WataMote), the series has crisp animation and neat art.

The Misfit of The Demon King Academy is one of the more cliché isekai harem anime with a stupidly OP MC. He reincarnates some centuries later and his powers overwhelm and shock everyone. He is just so powerful that he defeats everyone with no effort at all!

On top of that, he is labeled as a misfit because he isn’t a pure-blooded demon, and all he has is a skill. This causes people to look down on him until he annihilates them in combat. He is the best of the best and a cool one. This means that ladies naturally flock to him and he gets to have the best waifus in the show.

3. How not to Summon a Demon Lord

  • Japanese title: Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu Ω
  • Studio: Ajia-do Animation Works
  • Stream on: Amazon

Diablo, the MC of the show, is living the dream of (almost) every gamer. One day, he magically ends up summoned to a fantasy world with the appearance of the Demon King from Cross Reverie, which is a character from the game he has been playing.

The two beautiful ladies who summoned him then try to perform an Enslavement Ritual but it backfires and the two become his slaves instead. After getting to know them a little, he decides to accompany them on a journey to unbind the slave contract.

Steamy ecchi scenes, beautiful waifus, and a male protagonist who is not dense are three characteristics that I would use for the description of this show. Diablo is OP but not in the generic way that many people imagine. He is relying mainly on his equipment, potions, experience, and strategy when battling his enemies. Surprisingly, this works pretty well and he has honed his instincts to annihilate every foe he meets.

2. Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation

  • Japanese title: Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu
  • Studio: Studio Bind
  • Stream on: Amazon

Mushoku Tensei revolves around a hopeless 34-year-old NEET who gets killed during a traffic accident and reincarnates in a fantasy world with his memories and intellect intact.

While the plot sounds pretty generic, the show does a very good job at showing the MC’s character and physical development. He gets a second chance in life and takes it pretty seriously. With a tremendous magical aptitude and three wives, Rudeus is finally living a fulfilled life.

1. No Game No Life

  • Japanese title: No Game No Life
  • Studio: Madhouse
  • Stream on: Amazon

One of the most influential game isekai shows, along with SAO, is No Game No Life. With more than 2,1 million fans on MaL, it’s not difficult to say that this show is the king of isekai to this day. It’s not an understatement to say that it’s the most popular isekai harem anime series with an OP MC. Two OP MCs, in fact!

Instead of focusing on a generic isekai plot, NGNL consists of a likable duo of gamer siblings who uses their wit to outsmart enemies in the world they are transported to. And in that fantasy world, everything is decided by winning or losing games.

Sora, the male protagonist of NGNL has a harem filled with demi-human and human waifus. There is a crazy one, a tsundere one, and a loli too. Pretty much every trope you can think of.
