From today, I might add another characteristic to these posts: anime characters ranked according to the letter they are starting with. And we are starting with no other than anime characters who have names that start with A.
Obviously, there are way more anime characters with names that start with the letter A that don’t get to be on this list since the space is limited. I tried my best to curate a well-balanced list.

Starting off as a villain, he slowly transforms into an anti-hero character who develops empathy and conscience, mainly thanks to meeting a cute loli called Last Order. He even gets injured while trying to protect her.
But Accelerator wasn’t always a villain. It’s his past that made him the way he was at the beginning of the series, so he wasn’t a villain just for the sake of being one. He was ‘evil’ because of how people treated him. It made him completely detached from his feelings and the feelings of others.
Bonus trait: He fights both women and men with the same brutality. Even if they are cute.

9. Allen Walker

Allen is one of the purest, gentlest, and kindest souls I have seen in anime. He reminds me of Naruto with his determination and attitude, minus the annoying dumb part, so he is literally perfect in my eyes.
He is simply one of those characters who are OP while also having many other qualities like being intelligent, good-natured, and protective.
8. Akeno Himejima
- Anime: Highschool DxD
Akeno is one of the many waifus of Issei Hyoudou (the protagonist of Highschool DxD) and the best friend of Rias Gremory, the main female protagonist.
She is a charming young lady with a curvaceous figure.
Akeno appears collected, gentle, and elegant, however, this mellow behavior hides a true sadist in battle. Not only is she merciless towards her enemies but she also clearly enjoys inflicting pain or death upon them.

Akame is the hidden protagonist of Akame ga Kill.
She possesses unmatched reflexes, agility, and speed. Akame also wields a sword coated in poison with no known antidote, making her one of the deadliest and most overpowered characters in anime.
