The letter B is underappreciated. I am saying this because finding good anime characters who are not only popular but also have names that start with the letter B was way more difficult than I have ever imagined! I never realized that they are not that abundant in the anime Universe.
While the letter M and L were so easy, this list took me quite some time!
With that being said, let’s dive into the best anime characters whose names start with the letter B!
10. Beatrice (Re:Zero)
When you look at her, you might think that this is just an ordinary lovely 11 or 12-year-old girl. In reality, Beatrice is an artificial Spirit capable of using powerful Yin Magic that includes abilities like teleportation, freezing time, tearing space, or fixating her existence.
She had spent most of her life waiting in the library (we are talking ~400 years), until the MC convinced her to live and she became his contracted spirit. Even though she has a condescending demeanor toward others, Beatrice is a kind-hearted girl deep inside.
9. Bondrewd (Made in Abyss)
Bondrewd is one of the most mysterious and knowledge-obsessed characters you can come across.
He is not above sacrificing innocent children during horrible experiments, even if that means that they will die or suffer ever-lasting side effects as a result. This is, however, not out of malice but because he finds it necessary to expand knowledge in order to be prepared for what comes next as the next 2,000-year period approaches.
8. Beatrice Umineko (07th Expansion)
Beatrice, also known as The Golden Witch, is a powerful being who has lived a thousand years. She commits bizarre murders in hopes of resurrecting herself.
While she looks delicate as a flower, she is insanely OP. She can control life and death, meaning that she can kill or revive people as she pleases using the Endless Magic.
7. Benimaru Shinmon (Fire Force)
Imagine being stronger than what humanity believes is the strongest. That’s Benimaru.
He effortlessly one-shotted his doppelganger who was about to destroy the planet in a single attack, and his doppelganger was the representation of how strong Tokyo believed him to be.
A quick-tempered but honest and caring, Benimaru certainly earned his place on this list.
6. Black Star (Soul Eater)
Black Star is an assassin and a shadow weapon meister who comes from the infamous Star Clan, which is known as a clan that would do anything for money.
He is among the top three students at DWMA who is ironically obsessed with being in the spotlight despite being an assassin. His weapon partner, on the other hand, is calm and gentle, which creates a nice contrast.
5. Bell Cranel (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?)
Do you know how most kids want to be heroes and then grow up and become something else? Bell never “grew up”.
After he got saved from a minotaur by a beautiful first-class adventurer, he became determined to grow stronger so he could be with her as a worthy partner.
While his idea of being an adventurer was mainly due to him wanting to pick up girls and even start a harem, this changed over time and became a sincere, pure-hearted goal to be a hero.
He treats the Hestia Familia (something like an adventurous guild) like his family and cares deeply about them, mainly about Hestia, his Goddess who he wildly simps. Bell is kind and lenient to a fault, which resulted in getting robbed and forgiving the assailants anyways.
4. Byakuya Kuchiki (Bleach)
A January-born hottie, Byakuya is the head of the Soul Society’s Kuchiki Clan.
As you would expect from the 28th Head of the Kuchiki Clan, he acts like a proper aristocrat. He is usually prideful, indifferent, and calm, even in battles.
Since he is an extremely skilled swordsman and exceptionally proficient user of Shunpo, he doesn’t view the majority of opponents as a threat.
3. Bruno Bucciarati (JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure)
Bruno is an earnest gangster who takes righteousness to the next level. What I mean by that is that he would risk his life for his ideals and values, that’s how serious he is about being upright.
He has a ruthless and violent side to him as well, which shows the contrasting brutality that’s needed for survival in the world of gangsters. Despite that, he treats his team with respect and kindness, and strongly opposes certain things like the drug trade, which makes him feel conflicted since Passione is selling drugs on the street.
2. Brook (One Piece)
Brook is the musician and swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates.
He is eccentric both appearance & personality-wise but is easily one of the most honorable, virtuous, respectful, and compassionate characters to be introduced in the series.
While he likes to think of himself as a gentleman, his behavior is sometimes questionable. Like when he asks to see some girl’s pantsu. 😀
1. Ban (The Seven Deadly Sins)
There can be only one king of the Anime Characters Whose Names Start With B. And it’s Ban, a free-spirited immortal member of The Seven Deadly Sins who despite exhibiting greedy & selfish tendencies is a caring individual.
He is extremely powerful, having supernatural speed and strength and wielding an OP ability, Snatch. This ability allows him to “rob” physical objects without directly touching them. This also applies to body parts and physical attributes like the enemy’s raw strength, speed, or stamina.
While he gives off bad boy vibes, he still harbors deep feelings towards his deceased old lover, a Fairy Warrior called Elaine, and yearns to resurrect her by any means possible.
