10 Best Should-Watch Anime Like Black Clover

Black Clover is an incredibly popular shounen TV series. In many ways, the show embodies the struggles of its lead character. Asta transforms from the town’s laughingstock to the kingdom’s actual savior. Endearing characters, an intriguing universe, and thrilling action scenes make it an enjoyable watch. No wonder fans want to find more gripping anime like Black Clover.

The manga was illustrated and written by Yūki Tabata and it received an anime adaptation that aired between 2017 and 2021 by Studio Pierrot (Boruto, Tokyo Ghoul, Yona of the Dawn).

The main character of the anime is Asta, a young orphan who, along with Yuno, lived in an orphanage from the time of their birth. Although they are rivals, the two genuinely care for one another and share the dream of becoming the Wizard King, which is a title given to the strongest mage in the Kingdom.

Despite having been raised together, Yuno possesses incredible magic power from an early age, whereas Asta is mana-less, rendering him useless in a world that depends heavily on magical powers. Given Yuno’s talent and Asta’s non-existing flow of mana, one would likely give up. But Asta never does. He engages in rigorous physical training every single day.

Driven by their shared desire to succeed the current Wizard King, they set out on a journey to become Magic Knights.

People often say that Fairy Tail is a very similar anime to Black Clover. I can see why since they are both long-running shounen anime that take place in a magical world. Even better, magical users group together in guilds/squads and go on missions.

There will be a ton of incredible battles, as well as themes of rivalry, friendship, and lofty ideals.
