Europe has 50 countries, but only 44 have their capital cities on the continent. Russia is the biggest country in Europe, followed by Ukraine and France. As of 1 January 2023, the population of the EU is around 448 million people.
I created a similar ranking for U.S. states that love anime, and now I’m curious to find out where anime is most popular in Europe.
To create this list, I used data from Google Trends over the past 12 months. Surprisingly, I expected anime to be big in countries like Spain, Italy, or Germany but they didn’t make it to the top 10!
