Interesting Facts About Diabolik Lovers Brothers

Do you consider yourself to be a fan of Diabolik Lovers? If the answer is yes, you should test your knowledge of the Sakamaki brothers to see how well you really know them. I did my research and picked the most interesting and fun facts about our Diabolik Lovers boys.

*The birth order fact: Even though someone is born first (in this case on the triplets below Laito), the order of triplets is actually determined by an ancient Japanese tradition where the last one to be born in multiple births is considered the oldest. Hence Laito is supposed to be the oldest if we look at it from the date of his birth but is actually introduced as the youngest of the triplets.

1. Ayato Sakamaki

#1 fact: He is the third son (biologically the fifth) of the Sakamaki household.

#2 fact: One of the lesser-known facts about Diabolik Lovers is that Ayato, Laito, and Kanato are, in fact, triplets. Ayato is the oldest. 

#3 fact: The biological parents of Ayato are Cordelia and Karlheinz (the Vampire King).

#4 fact: His zodiac sign is Aries.

#5 fact: Ayato’s birthday is March 22nd

#6 fact: He loves basketball.

#7 fact: His all-time favorite food is Takoyaki (if you are wondering what is takoyaki, it’s a Japanese snack made of a wheat flour-based batter that is cooked in a specially molded pan).


2. Kanato Sakamaki

#1 fact: Kanato is the fourth son of the Sakamaki household.

#2 fact: Kanato, Laito, and Ayato are triplets. Kanato is in the middle.

#3 fact: His biological parents are Cordelia and Karlheinz.

#4 fact: Kanato’s B-Day is March 21st.

#5 fact: His zodiac sign is Aries.

#6 fact: He is very fond of dolls and loves to collect them.

#7 fact: Kanato has a sweet tooth.


3. Laito Sakamaki

#1 fact: Laito is the fifth son (biologically the third) of the Sakamaki household.

#2 fact: Laito, Kanato, and Ayato are triplets. Laito is the youngest.

#3 fact: His biological parents are Cordelia and Karlheinz.

#4 fact: Laitos’s celebrating his birthday on March 20th. 

#5 fact: Laito’s zodiac sign is Aries.

#6 fact: He is into crossword puzzles.

#7 fact: The food which he could eat every day is a macaron (in case you don’t know: a macaron is a sweet meringue-based cookie made with egg white, icing sugar, granulated sugar, almond meal, and food coloring).


4. Shu Sakamaki

#1 fact: Shu is the first and eldest son of the Sakamaki brothers.

#2 fact: Shu and Reiji are both biological children of Karlheinz and Beatrix, his second wife.

#3 fact: Shu is the master of the Sakamaki’s residence.

#4 fact: He was born on November 4th.

#5 fact: His zodiac sign is Libra.

#6 fact: Shu is very passionate about music, whether it’s listening to it or playing the violin.

#7 fact: The meal he would pick in a restaurant would be a rare steak because it’s the best meal according to him (the rare steak is a steak which has been cooked for a very short period of time, leaving the center cold and red).


5. Reiji Sakamaki

#1 fact: Reiji is the second eldest son of the Sakamaki household.

#2 fact: Reiji & Shu are both biological children of Karlheinz and Beatrix, his second wife.

#3 fact: He is the tallest of all brothers (183 cm or 6’0″).

#4 fact: If you want to send him a birthday card do so on August 29th.

#5 fact: His zodiac sign is Virgo.

#6 fact: Reiji’s favorite hobby is collecting tableware. 

#7 fact: If you want to make a good waifu for Reiji you have to learn how to cook spaghetti carbonara – he loves them! 


6. Subaru Sakamaki

#1 fact: Subaru is the sixth and the youngest of all Sakamaki brothers.

#2 fact:  Subaru is the only son of Christa (the third wife of Karlheinz).

#3 fact: His childhood was a nightmare and he was unloved by his mother. She even called him a filthy abomination.

#4 fact: Subaru was born on November 4th.

#5 fact: His zodiac sign is Scorpio.

#6 fact: Subaru doesn’t have a favorite hobby or food.

#7 fact: He is terrified of rollercoasters!
